Pete, I´m almost seen all your videos, thanks a lot to keep everything allways simple and clear.
By the way, for me your videos are the only videos with wich you can learn something, I learned a lot for my project, wich is cut some rust of my car and do some nice paint job on him.

hey Pete Great tip here..about discarting the treaded thing away before welding ,i even had to temporarly “sleeve” some bolts i was welding one time with a piece of pipe to “save” some work , filing every tread back

Once, when I was learning to be a stone mason, the old guys used to insist that I was taught about the simple handtools first before I graduated to power tools. They used to say, “What if your generator breaksdown -how you going to do the job then?” I think its the same with working on cars. Computers and hi-tech gizmos are OK but what happens when they crash. Whats happened to craftsmanship? Keep It Simple Stupid!
