Dangerous Scary Nighttime Willys CJ-2A ride!

So the last time this 1946 willys cj-2a was on the road legally was 1974. the tires are from before then, and they all have hearts on the side of every tire lug. we were out in the field, driving and romping the beast around, and drew said that we should drive it too janets cottage type thing down by this creek, a few miles away. it was alot further the way we went, because we used all back roads, to avoid cops. at least it is in my name, and has head lights. no tail lights, brakes, insurance, registration, license plate, Can’t dissengauge the clutch, spedometer doesn’t work, gas tank is under the hood, from a bolens tractor, laying barely held on by one loose bracket on top of the distributor cap, with a shirt or cardboard inbetween to inulate the spark plug wires from the tank, the battery was dead right before we left, we had to pop start it, or jump start it, probably jump with the whole no clutch thing, its sopposed to be 6 volt and charge with a generator, but it was converted, horribly by me to a 12 volt setup, which is mainly just the headlights, and coil, along with a chrysler alternator, that barely works, so really, it was an exciting journey. no windshield either. its in my shed so we don’t break it romping. this… was a really crazy thing. and at around 4:13 i was cruising in 3′rd going probably 40 something, and there was a 90 degree turn coming up, and i couldn’t get it to go in second to downshift, and slow us down, i was scared so it kept not syncronizing it right, and it kept grinding. and at last i just pushed it hard and it went in… felt bad about it, but didn’t want to crash. no other way to slow down, other then to be in a gear, and let of the gas then i popped it in low to go down a hill toward a main road. It was fun though! and the headlights were bright tail lights were non existant. also, no exhaust.

1931 Ford Model A Barn Find!

-1931 Ford Model A, running 4 cylinder Tudor truck conversion been sitting in the barn behind it since 1976, recently pulled out. Sitting in 2.5 inches of ice.. After a few hours, she was all pulled out and my 1962 Willy’s Wagon 4×4 pulled her 500ft through a foot and a half of snow. All original!
STORY: Seen the truck from the roadway, put a note on the door leaving my name and number asking about the truck. Got a call later from an older lady. Her husband had died, and collected parts and other vehicles for years. She wants to get rid of everything around the yard, and doesnt know what the old cars and parts are worth so I am basically making her an offer on everything. The garages around the yard are filled with tons of model a parts, and older flathead v8 parts, O.E.M 50’s edelbrock parts ect.

‘46 Willys Jeep In The Creek!

Ah : ) the willys. This thing is the coolest ever. I got it for 500 bucks. The last time it ran was in 1973 when the engine blew up. But it came with another engine off of a Millitary generator My whole life this CJ-2A was sitting right across the road from the field, at the farm, in a shed. i used to look at it when i was a kid, and think about how cool it was. never though i would have it. So anyway, Drew and I put the other engine in it, and over a few days i got it running. the beast was amazing Drew took it romping with adam the one day, and got it stuck in a big thing of water. the clutch was under water, and he left it there overnight. So for about 2 or 3 years now, the clutch is rusted together. right now the willys is taken part of the way apart, in the canopy, and hopefully soon this thing will be fixed. because its an amazing machine. I have a few more videos of this beast that i will be uploading. Including a night time, Illegal, (no insurance, Not registered, no plate, not inspected in over 30 years, no brakes, gas tank from a tractor under the hood laying on the distributor cap, clutch stuck together, and an almost dead battery) that was a fun night it was late though. there were no other cars on the road. using the synchronizers to shift ah, fun stuff. i almost killed us
