just a thought. if u mounted the actuator in the middle front radiator area then ran a piece of steel between the two tie points u have now and eliminate the triangles and the top of arm in middle of steel. one act. should lft that hood ..Be balanced nice with the hinges at the bottom and brace action of jack at top

x2 on bonding the brackets to the inside of the hood when you welded and finished them
all you need now is a fogger or smoke machine under the hood and a neon light to light the fog when the hood raises
